PositiveSMS free pc to mobile software for text messaging

Positive SMS V2 is an advanced pc to mobile desktop application used by business and individuals to send SMS from their desktop or personal computer to mobile phones.

SMS (text messages) was created as part of the GSM phase 1 standard. It is believed that the first short message has been sent in December 1992 from a Personal Computer (PC) to a mobile phone on the Vodafone GSM network in the UK. Since 1992 the text message industry has shown tremendous growth with global coverage enabling users to text message anybody anywhere anytime.

It was therefore essential that the necessary tools be developed to keep up with customer demand and today a lot of applications are available. Positive SMS V1 was launched by SMS warehouse in January 2005 and the desktop tool contained basic elements required by individuals or small business to send SMS from a PC to mobile phones.

Demand in the market place soon created the requirement for an advanced version of the basic product. PositiveSMS V2 includes the following advanced features:

Bulk sms: Send bulk sms to a list of numbers also known as broadcast SMS

Unicode SMS: Send sms in non-latin characters (70 characters) from your desktop.

Picture SMS: Create your own black and white pictures or logos and send to people in your phone book

Phone book: The

Scheduled SMS: Schedule your sms for a specific day date and time

PositiveSMS is backed up by Web SMS and the recently launched FirefoxIE SMS toolbar. Users are required to register online for a username and password. Each user will go through a verification process and receives 10 free test sms after registration. The same username and password could be used for WebSMS, PositiveSMS and FriefoxIE SMS toolbar.

"One of my clients commented about the ease of use and convenience one username and password with three applications brings about. As a traveling businessman from Germany he reported that he use WebSMS while traveling (in South Africa he SMS Germany from Internet cafe´s). Back home he use PositiveSMS or FirefoxIE SMS. PositiveSMS is an online/offline desktop tool which is ideal for African countries where most small business and or households still use dial-up for internet access. WebSMS and FirefoxIE browser toolbar is ideal for customers with access to ADSL or broadband connectivity. Regardless of the situation, the product is accessible and available for use. Easy, convenient, practical." Says Marinda Stuiver from SMS warehouse.
